SpeakOn was a messaging app with real-time translation in more than 60 languages. I founded it in 2015.
In June 2015 it reached #1 among free apps on the App Store in Mexico, above WhatsApp, Messenger, Facebook and YouTube. It gathered 350,000 registered users, 200,000 of them in the first 48 hours.
It didn’t survive. Reaching #1 is not the same as having a business.
